BIOGRAPHY
Bill Bloomfield engages the intersecting qualities between art and architecture through vibrant, hard-edge paintings inspired by the effect of light. Bill has a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech. As part of his thesis he studied color and form through silk screen printing and continues this exploration today through his paintings.

each of impressive size with short everted laurel leaf mouth flanked by scrolled handles with bold acanthus leaf decoration; the compressed bulbous body with overlapping foliate ring all raised on a splayed base with square plinth; good antique condition with overall even wear; minor chipping along the base
the gadrooned urn with rams head handles filled with plump fruit and flower heads; good weathered surface with areas of paint, moss and lichen with overall even wear
each of the 10 baluster form pins with spheroid finials included with 7 wooden balls; wear and chipping; professionally waxed and restored; Skittles is a European lawn game and an early form of bowling, from which modern ten-pin bowling, duckpin bowling, candlepin bowling and five-pin bowling are descended. In regions of the United Kingdom and Ireland the game remains a popular indoor pub game.

the original hand-beveled cartouche-shaped mirror plate within a conforming giltwood frame surmounted by a bold Ho Ho bird; the whole adorned with elaborately stylized rocaille carving and scroll motifs; the Ho Ho bird was originally seen in asian artwork and symbolizes good fortune and longevity; even patina and rubbing to newly water-gilded surface; some antiquing to plate
