Eugene Schoen was known primarily as an art deco furniture designer who gained his inspiration after attending the 1925 Paris Exhibition. In 1901, he studied architecture with Otto Wagner and Josef Hoffman in Vienna. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Pennsylvania Museum of Fine Art; each with incurved back with originally designed channeled detailing; flanked by splayed wooden arms; excellent restored condition with new upholstery.
