After studying at the Art Center School of Los Angeles and the Chouinard Art Institute, he joined Frank Brothers as a custom furniture designer. In 1947, Baughman established Milo Baughman Design, Inc.
the Calacatta Viola marble top with bowed front and concave sides inset within an ogee molded edge; over a deep apron with rocaille and acanthus carving; raised on cabriole supports with similar rocaille and acanthus decoration with cascading bell flowers all ending in foliate carved feet; joined by an x-form stretcher of alternating C-scrolls culminating in a lively rocaille carved flourish; good antique condition with overall wear and patina with minor chipping; small areas of refreshed gilding; some discoloration to original top with old repair to one corner
the shaped lift-top with turreted corners all raised on cabriole supports with lappet carving and in pad feet; adorned overall with seaweed marquetry inlay; the hinged top supported by a gate leg opens to reveal the interior with felt top, having round inlaid corners and chip cutouts; overall good antique condition for a piece of this age; refinished surface with small areas of replaced veneer; some shrinkage; fading and wear to later felt top
a wonderful period English George III hand-carved tilt-top supper/tea table with shell and leaf carved top with circular reserves, over a turned baluster support issuing three downswept legs terminating in ball and claw pad feet; the English supper table became popular during the reign of King George II and continued into the late 18th century; repair to edge of top; refinished surface

A good north Germany (possibly Hamburg) Biedermeier Cylinder Bureau overall of beautifully figured mahogany veneers; as the writing surface is pulled outward the cylinder top opens to reveal various burlwood drawers and a central arched compartment all over a writing surface with inset hand-tooled black leather; the cabinet fitted with three small drawers above the cylinder plus three long drawers below; the whole raised on bracket feet; good antique condition with professional repairs; some areas re-glued; overall even wear with warm patina
