Léon Danchin (1887-1938) was a French artist known for his drawings of animals, primarily sporting dogs.  His works sold very well in France, Belgium, England and the United States; Later in his career Danchin moved to the French Flanders where he was an avid hunter. It was during this period that he drew many of the hunting scenes for which he is renowned; signed in pencil lower left and numbered 275/500; discoloration to paper;  in as found condition with original frame; Copyright by La Gravure Française, 41 rue St. Georges, Paris 1935
