Maison Jansen was a Paris-based interior decoration office founded in 1880 by Dutch-born Jean-Henri Jansen; the beveled mirror plate within a giltwood frame surrounded by a chamfered mirrored border of eglomise panels; good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to glass; later beveled plate; overall even wear and rubbing to giltwood frame
each having silver-embossed leather double doors with Lucite handles and decorative round Lucite handles on the sides all raised on Greek key form legs; excellent vintage condition with patina to leather; professionally polished.
Designed by Marbro Lamp Co., each ovoid-form lamp decorated with slender wheat sheaths resting on a gilt-metal base over an ebonized wooden stand; excellent condition with no chips or cracks; re-wired and re-gilded; signed on underside; Camille Tharaud first studied chemistry as a young man, but after an injury during WWI, he convalesced in Limoges, France where he began his work with porcelain, opening up his own factory in 1920.
Jules Leleu (French 1883-1961); executed in a well-figured tiger-mahogany with mahogany secondary wood, having a shaped top, above the four drawer case with chromed pulls all flanked by two doors; raised on splayed supports with chrome sabots; a similar model can be seen in Yvonne Brunhammer, Le Style 1925, Editions Baschet et Cie, Paris, p. 45 & Francoise Siriex, The House of Leleu pgs. 46, 47; excellent vintage condition with refinished surface
